I bought this for my 6yo for xmas. It is awesome. The only problem is the Batman car is much better at staying on the track. My 6yo has a hard time running the Joker car because it flys off the track if you don’t concentrate on how fast your going. I am going to solve that by buying another car more similar to the Batman car. Tons of fun.

I bought this for my boys, 3 & 5. (I think it’s safe to dismiss the 8yr+ suggestion, unless your child has been known to eat electronics. ) The track is HUGE (6′ x 3. 5′) and the cars are much larger than the ones I had as a kid. (and these cars don’t emit the smell of burning rubber/electric motors overheating. ) The track is sturdy, and has clips that hold them all in place. The cars are VERY fast, and I had to explain to my boys in the beginning that the point of the toy is not to see who can launch their car the furthest when speeding around a corner. It took them a little bit to get used to making 1-lap around without falling off. But, by the end of the day they were both able to do the actual 50-lap race against me or my wife. The only problems that I have with this product are the differences between the 2 vehicles. The Joker Mobile is quite a bit larger and heavier compared to the Batmobile, making it much more difficult to control. Even in appearance, their scaling looks disproportionate. Also, the Batmobile has headlights that light up, but the Joker Mobile does not. I saw that there is now a Bane Car(another villain from Batman). I’m curious to see which car it is closer to scale with. I’m thinking about getting it just to have another option, or at least to make it a fair race. I’m tired of losing to children. You can also buy more track pieces to make this 6′ x 3. 5′ race course even larger! Very pleased.

I bought this for my 5yo (didn’t read the “ages 8 and up” until it came to the house apparently). It is very fun for him – he loves the Batman car. One caveat: The Batman car is awesome for 4 and 5yo – it stays on the track and is easily raced by the younger kids. The Joker car however flies off the track often and is primarily a parents or older-kids-only car.
